Group Cohesiveness | Extent to which the members of a group find staying together to be in mutual interest |
Groupthink | The practice of approaching problems or issues as matters that are best dealt with by consensus of a group rather than by individuals acting independently |
Cooperative | Working or acting together willingly for a common purpose or benefit |
Trust | Reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing |
Leadership | An act or instance of leading; guidance; direction |
Leadership Style | A leader's style of providing direction, implementing plans, and motivating people |
Autocratic Leadership | Also known as authoritarian leadership, is a leadership style characterized by individual control over all decisions and little input from group members |
Democratic Leadership | Also known as participative leadership, is a type of leadership style in which members of the group take a more participative role in the decision-making process |
Laissez-Faire Leadership | Also known as delegative leadership, is a type of leadership style in which leaders are hands-off and allow group members to make the decisions |
Transactional Leader | A style of leadership in which the leader promotes compliance of his/her followers through both rewards and punishments. |
Transformational Leader | A style of leadership where the leader is charged with identifying the needed change, creating a vision to guide the change through inspiration, and executing the change in tandem with committed members of the group |
