worksheet Electronic spreadsheet you work in.
workbook A file where worksheet go.
templates A formatted files called.
name box display cell address
formula bar a bar that allows you to enter or edit data in the worksheet.
cell The intersection of a column and a row.
cell address Every cell has its own unique location
cell pointer a dark rectangle that outlines the cell you are working in.
active cell a cell that is active.
sheet tabs a worksheet grid that let you switch sheet to sheet in a workbook.
status bar a bar located at the bottom of Excel window, it provides a brief description of the active command or task in progress.
mode indicator a bar in the lower left corner that provides additional information about certain tasks.
range A selection of two or more cells.
formula an equation in a worksheet.
labels entries that contain text and numerical information not used in calculations.
values numbers, formulas, and functions that can be used in calculations.
function a built-in formula.
arguments the information require to calculate an answer.
formula prefixes a formula in Excel worksheet that starts with a equal sign.
calculation operators an operator that indicates what type of calculation you want of perform.
comparison operators an operator that compare values for purpose of true or false results.
reference operators an operator which enables you to use ranges in calculations.
enter button the check mark on the formula bar.
