What is the law of conservation of energy? Energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred.
What is useful energy? Useful energy is energy that is transferred to where it is wanted, in the form that it is wanted in.
What is the equation for efficiency? Efficiency = Useful energy/Total Energy Input x 100%
Name 4 ways that a machine can waste energy Friction creates heat, air resistance causes energy transfer to the surroundings, resistance of a wire causes heat, sound created by machinery.
