Dialog Box | box prompts additional information when executing a command |
Drop Down Arrow | small downward pointing arrow next to some tools on the ribbon |
Drop Down List | List that appears once a drop down arrow is clicked allowing you to chose from many options |
File Tab | Tab on the ribbon that opens the backstage view |
Group | Set of related tools on the ribbon |
Dialog Box Launcher | Some command group on the ribbon its a small icon that opens a dialog box with your group |
I Beam Pointer | mouse pointer when over a text box or editable text area, appearing as a curly capital... the insertion point noes to the spot |

Slide Sorter View | View that displays all of a presentations slides in a single window suited for reorganizing slides |
Tab | labeled section of the ribbon contains a group of related tools |
Text Box | Container that holds text on a slide |
Views | way in which presentation content can be displayed onscreen such as Normal View, Slide Sorter View, Slide Show View |
Zoom | Amount of magnification used to show content onscreen higher the zoom the larger it get and it will get bigger bigger |
