Unit C: Formatting a Worksheet
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Format | A cell determines how the labels and values look. |
Number format | Adds dollar signs and two decimal places to the data. |
Font size | The physical size of the text, measured in units called points. |
Point | Equal to 1/72 of an inch. |
Font styles | Formats such as bold, italic, and underlining that you can apply to the way text and numbers look in a worksheet. |
Alignment | Labels and values in cells to position them in relation to the cells. |
Column heading | The box at the top of each column containing a letter. |
AutoFit | Automatically resizes the column heading to accommodate the widest entry in the column. |
Cell styles | to save time you can apply cell styles, pre-designed combinations of formats. |
conditional formatting | Automatically applies different formats to data if the the data meets conditions you specify. |
