barometer ( n.) an instrument that is used to measure air pressure and predict changes in the weather.
diameter (n.) the distance through the center of a circle or sphere from one side to the other.
optometry (n.) the profession of examining people’s eyes to find out if they need eyeglasses or medical treatment.
perimeter (n.) the outside edge of an area or surface; the total length of the lines that form a shape.
symmetry (n.) the quality of something that has two sides or halves that are the same or very close in size, shape, and position.
precaution (n.) something that is done to prevent possible harm or trouble from happening in the future.
forecast (n.) a statement about what will happen in the future.
