Geographic Factor | Physical conditions, such as climate (temperature and rainfall), land-forms in terms of altitudes, the quality of the soil and the availability of energy and mine resources are the important geographical determinants of population distribution. |
Absolute location | locating a place using coordinates. |
Climate factors | include latitude, elevation, nearby water, ocean currents, topography, vegetation, and prevailing winds. The global climate system and any changes that occur within it also influence local climate. |
Population density | the number of people living per unit of an area (e.g. per square mile); the number of people relative to the space occupied by them |
Limited government | led by the citizens, constitution limits the powers of the government. |
Unlimited government | led by government, they have complete control, there is no constitution to limit their power. |
Rule by one | monarchy or dictatorship. |
Rule by few | small group has power. |
Rule by many | people have the power. |
Economic systems | a system of production and exchange of goods and services as well as allocation of resources in a society. |
Developed countries | countries with a high per capita gross domestic product |
developing countries | countries with a low per capita gross domestic product |
Culture Traits | A cultural trait is a characteristic of human action that is acquired by people socially and transmitted via various modes of communication. Cultural traits are things that allow for a part of one culture to be transmitted to another. |
