Coordinate Geometry

TermDefinition
Coordinates a set of numbers or letters that shows the position of something.
Ordered Pair an x-coordinate and y-coordinate written as a pair, with the x-coordinate first.
Coordinate Grid a grid including the x-axis and y-axis.
X-Axis the line on a graph that runs horizontally (left to right) through zero.
Y_Axis the line of a graph that runs vertically (up and down) through zero.
Plot to draw on a graph or map
Origin the ordered pair (0,0) on a coordinate grid.
Orientation the position of a point on a grid in relation to an original point - North, South, East or West.
Scatter Plot the plotting of ordered pairs to show the relationship between two sets of data.
