federal system | A system of government in which the power to govern is shared by the national and state governments. |
legislative branch | The part of the government that makes the laws. |
executive branch | A part of government that suggests the laws and makes sure that the are carried out. |
judicial branch | The part of the government that makes sure the laws agree with the Constitution. |

volunteer | A person who offers to do something without pay; to work or give time without pay |
