Why do people live where they do? People live where they can survive- more comfortably usually. Climate influences where people live.
Railroads are used throughout Russia. Why? Russia's shipping ports are frozen most of the year.
Why are the Ural Mountains so significant? The Ural Mountains divide two continents: Europe and Asia. It also splits Russia into the European side of Russia and the Asian side of Russia.
