What does a pharmacy technician do? Pharmacy technicians help pharmacists dispense prescription medicines to customers or health care workers.
ECOT's Pharmacy Tech program is offered to students at what grade level? ECOT's Pharmacy Tech program is only offered to students in twelfth grade.
What are the requirements for becoming a pharmacy technician? Becoming a pharmacy technician usually requires a high school diploma. Most states regulate pharmacy technicians, and may require them to earn certifications.
Why would a registered nurse with 10 years of experience have a higher average salary than a pharmacy technician with 10 years of experience? More education is required to become a registered nurse. A Bachelor's degree is often needed to become an RN. To become a pharmacy technician a high school diploma and certification is usually all that is required.
What are the benefits of a completing ECOT's Pharmacy Tech program? Students will be prepared to earn certification and immediately seek employment as a pharmacy technician after graduating high school. The Pharmacy Tech program can also prepare students to study healthcare or chemistry at two-year and four-year colleges.
