Character | A character is any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark. |
Character spacing | Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text. |
Character styles | Character styles are applied to individual characters or words that you select. |
Font | A font is a typeface that applies a style to characters. |
Live preview | As you point to each font in the list, the selected text changes to show what it would look like in that font. |
Paragraph styles | The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not that text is selected. |
Point size | Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1⁄72 of an inch. |
Text Effects | Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection. |
WordArt | A feature that creates decorative effects with text. |
