Europe's History

Vladimir Lenin Leader of the Bolshevik Party during the Russian Revolution.
Communism A political party that gives the government complete control of the economy. All land, businesses, and goods are owned by the government.
Bolshevik Party First Communist party during the Russian Revolution. Led by Vladimir Lenin.
Czar Nicholas Romanov II The last monarch of Imperial Russia. Removed from power during the Russian Revolution.
Russian Revolution A civil war that occurred in Russia during World War I which took their country out of the war.
World War I A time period between 1914-1918 during which world powers fought due to nationalism, ethnic and ideological conflicts, and rivalries.
Nazi Party National German Socialist Workers Party that controlled Germany from 1933-1945.
economic depression A period of low general economic activity with widespread unemployment
Adolf Hitler Head of the Nazi Party and dictator of Germany from 1933-1945.
propaganda Information that is spread for the purpose of promoting some cause
treaty An agreement or arrangement made by negotiations, usually done at the end of a war
reparations Payment by a government to a group of people for loss or damage often after a war.
pre-existing prejudice An unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason.
