Bibliography | A Works Cited list |
Bookmark | A reference point, a location, or a selection of text that you name and identify for future reference |
Caption | A line of text that describes an object, which can appear above or below the object it describes |
Citation | A note specifying the source of information |
Endnote | Automatically numbered and is placed at the end of a document |
Footer | Appears at the bottom |
Footnote | Placed at the bottom of the page on which the citation is located |
Header | Appears at the top of a document page |
Hyperlink | A way to jump from one location to another, either within the same document or to an external location |
Hypertext transfer protocol | How the data is transferred to the external site through the servers |
MLA style | (Modern Language Association) A single spaced with a hanging indent and double spacing between each foot note |
Plagiarism | To copy someone else’s work without giving credit to them |
Source | Includes all the information about where a specific element of your paper comes from, so the reader can find the original work. It could be a book, report, journal article, or website |
Tab leader | The symbols that appear between the table of contents topic and the corresponding page number |
Table of Authorities | A specialized type of bibliography used in legal documents |
Table of Contents | An ordered list of the headings in a document, along with the page numbers on which the headings are found |
Works Cited | A collection of sources that you place at the end of a document |
