bookmark | is a reference point, a location, or a selection of text that you name and identify for future reference |
caption | is a line of text that describes an object, which can appear above or below the object it describes |
citation | is a note specifying the source of information |
endnote | is placed in a list at the end of the document |
footer | appears at the bottom |
footnote | is placed at the bottom of the page on which the citation is located |
header | appears at the top of a document page |
hyperlink | is a way to jump from one location to another, either within the same document or to an external location |
hypertext transfer protocol | is how the data is transferred to the external site through the servers. |
MLA style | must be single spaced with a hanging indent and double spacing between each footnote, while an endnote is double spaced with a first line indent |
plagiarism | the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own. |
source | includes all the information about where a specic element of your paper comes from,so the reader can find the original work |
tab leader | which are the symbols that appear between the table of contents topic and the corresponding page number |
table of authorities | is a specialized type of bibliography used in legal documents. |
table of contents | (TOC) is an ordered list of the headings in a document, along with the page numbers on which the headings are found |
works cited | list is a collection of sources that you place at the end of a document |
