Report Vocabulary For Ms. Roten
Term | Definition |

Hanging Indent | An indent where all lines, but the first line of the text is indented. |
Reference List/Works cited/Bibliography | Used to give credit to the author of material used in a report, is a list of references. |
Body | The main text of a document such as a personal letter, business letter, memo, email, or a report. |
Unbound Report | A short report that is prepared without covers or binders. |
Double Space | Pressing the enter key two times to leave a blank line. Can also refer to the word processing feature. |
Side Heading | Heading used to separate the report into sections. |
Left Bound | Longer reports prepared with binders. Left margin is wider (1.5”) to accommodate binding along the left margin. |

Title Page | The title page is the first page of a report. It gives the title of the report, the name of the writer, the name of the school or class, and the date. |
