Conduction Heat transfer through direct cantact

Sun The driving force of the water cycle
Evaporation The slow changing of liquid into gas

Codensation Changing of gas to a liquid
Precipitation Any form of water particles that falls from the atmosphere and reaches the ground
Run Off Precipitation that flows across the land's surface or falls into rivers and streams
Matter Anything that has mass or takes up space
Chemical Change A change of matter that is creating a new substance
Physical Change A change of matter in size, shape, or state without any change in identity or make-up
Gas A state of matter that has no definite shape and whose molecules move freely
Solid A state of matter that has no definite shape and whose molecules are closely packed
Liquid A state of matter that takes the shape of it's container
Mixture A physical combination of two or more substances that are blended together without making a new substance
Solution A mixture of substances that are blended so completely that the mixture looks the same everywhere
Solute The substance in a solution that is being dissolved
Property A way to describe something
Closed System When no matter can escape
Solvent The substance in a solution that does the dissolving
