6.2 Vocab

TermDefinition
Absolute value -The distance the number is from zero on a number line.
Integer The whole numbers and their opposites.
Negative Integer An integer that is less than zero.
Positive Integer An integer that is greater than zero.
Graph The process of placing a point on a number line at its proper location.
Opposites Two integers are opposites if they are represented on the number line by points that are the same distance from zero, but on opposite sides of zero. The sum of two opposites is zero.
Inequality A mathematical sentence that contains the symbol < ; > ;
