Term | Definition |

Backstage View | A screen that appears when you click the file tab in word 2016 |
I-Beam | When your cursor near it changes to a large I |
Command | A button, list or other clickable option on the Ribbon |
Ribbon | Contains Multiple commands on separate tabs |
Dialog Box | A box that prompts the user for additional information |
Dialog Box Launcher | A small icon on the ribbon that opens up a dialog box related to that group |
Group | Collections of related Word Commands |
Quick Access Toolbar | Is located above the Ribbon and contains commands that users access most often |
Tab | A labeled section of the Ribbon that contains a group of related |
Block Style | Format aligns text along the left margin |
Insertion Point | The blinking in the upper left corner of the document |
Menu | Provides access to Mail, Microsoft Edge, Photos, games, music, videos |
Mixed Punctuation | Requires a colon after the situation and a comma after the closing |
Non-Printing Characters | Are symbols for certain formatting commands |
Open Punctuation | Requires no punctuation after the solution or the closing |
Preview | Enables you to view your document as it being printed |
Prints the document to the default printer using the default tab setting | |
Repeat | Repeats your last action |
Save | In the Quick Access Toolbar for the first time opens the Save As screen. |
Save As | Appears as a command listed in Backstage view when you click the File tab |
Settings | Control document-specific print parameters |
Templates | A master document with predefined page layout, fonts, margins, and styles |
undo | lets you cancel or undo your last Word command or action |
White Space | Is the space between pages of the document |
Word Wrap | Automatically wraps text to the next line as it reaches the right margin |
