Backstage View | A tool that offers quick access to commands for performing many file management tasks all displayed in a single navigation pane that can be customized to meet users' needs. |
Command | Its a button list or other clickable option on the Ribbon |
Dialog Box | that displays additional options or information you can use to execute a command. A box that prompts the user for additional information when executing a command |
Dialog Box Launcher | a small arrow in the lower-right corner of the group. |
Drop-Down Arrow | On the right-handed on the Quick Access Toolbar |
Drop-down List | a list that appears when once the drop-arrow is clicked and allows you to choose from available options |
File Tab | it's on the Ribbon that opens the backstage view. |
Groups | A set of related tools on the Ribbon |
I-Beam | When you place your cursor near it, the insertion point changes to a large “I" |
Key Tip | It's letter or number that appears next to a key tip on screen tool when the ALT key is pressed |
Mini Toolbar | Is a small toolbar when the mouse is placed on a selected text object |
Ribbon | contains multiple commands on separate tabs. is a graphical control element in the form of a set of toolbars placed on several tabs |
Screen Tip | A popup box that gives screen tip a command name when you point on the Ribbon |
Shortcut Menu | shortcut menu that appears when you right click an area or object |
Tab | is a labeled section of the Ribbon, it contains a group related of tools |
Text Box | is a container that holds texts on a slide |
Zoom | located on the bottom-right of your screen until the zoom level changes to 100%. |
Quick Access Toolbar | Is a customizable toolbar that contains a set of commands that are independent |
Block Style | to style of overall paragraph formatting in a typewritten letter, usually a business letter or a letter of formal correspondence. |
Insertion Point | in the upper-left corner of this document is where you begin creating your text. |
Mixed Punctuations | style that requires a colon after the salutation and a comma after the closing. |
Nonprinting Characters | which are symbols for certain formatting commands such as indents, paragraphs, tabs, spacing between the words |
Open Punctuations | requires no punctuation after the salutation or the closing |
Preview | View that will allow you to see document pages exactly as they will print |
