Backstage View a screen that appears when you click the File tab in Word 2016
Drop-Down Arrow that the drop-down icon arrow disappears when the user selects a different cell
I-Beam When you place your cursor near it, the insertion point changes to a large “I,”
Ribbon The Ribbon contains multiple commands on separate tabs.
Text Box a graphical control element intended to enable the user to input text information to be used by the program
Command is an instruction based on an action that you perform in Word by clicking a button
Drop-Down List a graphical control element, similar to a list box, that allows the user to choose one value from a list
Key Tip A tool that replaces some keyboard shortcut from earlier versions of Microsoft.
Screen Tip A tool that provides more information about commands.

Dialog Box that you click to launch a dialog box that displays additional options or information you can use to execute a command
File Tab a section on the Office ribbon that gives you access to file functions.
Mini Toolbar A small toolbar with popular commands that appears when you point to selected text.
Shortcut Menu A menu that contains a list of useful commands.
Dialog Box Launcher a small arrow in the lower-right corner of the group

Quick Access Toolbar located above the Ribbon and contains commands that users access most often. By default, the Save, Undo, and Repeat commands display when you launch Word 2016
Block Style a letter (usually business letter) format where all typed content is aligned with the left margin and no indentation.

Menu a horizontal strip that contains lists of available menus for a certain program.
Mixed punctuation add a colon to the end of a salutation in your documents.
Nonprinting characters Symbols for certain formatting commands (such as tab, space, and paragraph) that can help users create and edit documents.
Open punctuation using few punctuation marks when writing.
Preview A tool that enables users to visually check your document for errors before printing.
Print To send a document to a printer.
Repeat To repeat something simple, such as a paste operation
Save To copy data from a temporary area to a more permanent storage medium
Save As A command in the File menu of most applications that causes a copy of the current document or image to be created.
Settings An option that enables users to set document properties.
Tabs a paragraph-formatting feature used to align text.
Template Master document that has predefined page layout, fonts, margins, and styles and is used to create new documents that will share the same basic formatting.
Undo A command that allows users to cancel or undo their last command or action.
White space A blank space in a document.
Word Wrap A tool that automatically wraps text to the next line as it reaches the right margin.
