Lesson 2 Basic Editing

Autocorrect | A feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, and abbreviations with specific text strings. |
Clipboard | Stores items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office File. |
Copy | Word places a duplicate copy in the Clipboard. |
Cut | Word removes it from the original location and places the text in the Clipboard collection. |
Document Properties | Identifies the creator of the document, the date the document was created, its subject and category, and keywords that can be used to search for the document. |
Go To | Provides a way to navigate through longer documents quickly. |
Navigation Pane | Contains commands for moving and searching through a document. |
Object Zoom | Enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode. |
Paste | Pastes text from the Clipboard to a new location in either the original document or a new document. |
Read Mode | Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading. |
Replace | Opens the Find and Replace dialog box. Can use the replace command to replace one word or phrase with another and can replace formatting. |
Thumbnails | Page images. |
Wildcard | Used to find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters. |
