Character Formatting

Character | Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark. |
Character Spacing | Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text. |
Character Styles | Applied to individual characters or words that you select. |
Font | A typeface that applies a style to characters. |
Live Preview | As you point to each point in the list, the selected text changes so you can see what it would look like in that font. |
Paragraph Styles | The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not the text is selected. |
Point Size | Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 of an inch. |
Text Effects | Add a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as outline, shadow, glow, and reflection. |
WordArt | A feature that creates decorative effects with text. |
