Character Formatting
Term | Definition |

Character | Any single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark |
Character Spacing | Refers to the spacing in and around each character of the text |
Character Styles | Applied to individual characters or word that you select |
Font | Typeface that applies a style to characters |
Live Preview | What it would look like wit the font |
Paragraph Styles | The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where in the insertion point is located, whether the text is selected |
Point Size | Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 |
Text Effects | Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, such as an outline, shadow, glow, and reflection |
WordArt | A feature that creates decorative effects with texts. |
