Basic Editing
Term | Definition |

Auto correct | A feature that replaces symbols, commonly misspelled words, abbreviations with specific text strings |
Clipboard | Stores the items for you to paste in another location of the document or another Office file |
Copy | Duplicated data in clipboard |
Cut | Removing data from its original location and places the text in the clipboard collection |
Document Properties | Identifies the creator of the document the date the document was created, its subject and category, and keywords that can be used to search for the document |
Go To | Provides a way to navigate through longer documents quickly |
Navigation Pane | Provides options for browsing and searching in a document |
Object Zoom | Enables you to zoom in on objects such as tables, charts, or images while in Read Mode |
Paste | Pastes text from the clipboard to a new location in either the original document or a new document |
Reade Mode | Changes the page layout of the document with a larger font for easier reading |
Replace | Replaces one word or command with another |
Thumbnails | Page images |
Wildcard | Characters to find words or phrases that contain specific letters or combinations of letters |
