Character Formatting
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Character | Single letter, number, symbol, or punctuation mark. |
Character Spacing | Refers to the spacing in and around each character of text. Options are: scales, spacing, and position. |
Character Styles | Applied to individual characters or words that you select. |
Font | Is a typeface that applies a style to characters. |
Live Preview | Shows you how your document will look with the selected feature. |
Paragraph Styles | The format is applied instantly to all text in the paragraph where the insertion point is located, whether or not that text is selected. |
Point Size | Refers to the height of characters, with one point equaling approximately 1/72 of an inch. |
Text Effects | Adds a distinctive appearance to selected text, wucha s outline, shadow, glow, and reflection. |
WordArt | Is a feature that creates decorative effect with text. |
