Term | Definition |

Ascending | Order sorts text from the beginning to end, such as from A to Z. |
Cells | Are the rectangles that are formed when rows and columns intersect. |
Cell range | Using math to apply formulas to your table |
Descending | Order sorts text from the end to the begging, such as from Z to A. |
Formulas | What you use to calculate a total whether its on a table or it’s on a graph. |
Header row | Is the first row of the table that contains information that helps identify the contents of a column. |
Merge cells | To combine two or more cells into one. |
Quick Tables | Are built in preformatted tables, such as calendars and tabular lists, which you can insert and use in your document. |
Sort | Means to arrange it alphabetically, numerically, or chronologically. |
Split cells | Means to divide one cell into two or more cells. |
