Word Lesson 6 Creating Tables
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Ascending | The order in how information is sorted or arranged. |
Cells | The intersection between a row and a column on a spreadsheet. |
Cell range | A group of cells within a row or column. |
Descending | The order in how information is sorted or arranged, descending order is arranged from highest to lowest. |
Formulas | Allows you to perform calculations and logical comparisons in a table by using formulas. The Formula command is found on the Table Tools, Layout tab, in the Data group. |
Header row | Header rows are rows that contain information that help identify the content of a particular column. |
Merge cells | Combining multiple cells (two or more) that are in the same row and/or in the same column to a single cell. |
Quick Tables | Pre created tables that have been saved into one of the building block galleries. Quick Tables in Word give you easy access to many of the most commonly used table layouts. |
Sort | Displays data in order so that users can locate it more quickly. |
Split cells | Separating the cells that are merged. |
Table | An arrangement of data made up of horizontal rows and vertical columns. |
