cartouche an oblong enclosure with a horizontal line at one end, indicating that the text enclosed is a royal name
sarcophagus a stone coffin, typically adorned with a sculpture or inscription and associated with the ancient civilizations of Egypt, Rome, and Greece
canopic jars jars used by the ancient Egyptians during the mummification process to store and preserve the internal organs of their owner for the afterlife
pyramid structure with triangular sides
pharaoh king of ancient Egypt
silt fine sand, clay, or other material carried by running water and deposited as a sediment
Book of the Dead a collection of spells which enable the soul of the deceased to navigate the afterlife
