PERICARDIAL anatomically refers to the tissue membrane that surrounds the Heart
EPICARDIUM anatomically refers to the thin, most superficial tissue layer of the Heart
MYOCARDIAL pertaining to muscle of the Heart
ENDOCARDIUM anatomically refers to the thin tissue layer that lines the interior of the Heart
ATRIAL Atrium
VENTRICULAR Ventricle
ATRIOVENTRICULAR pertaining to an Atrium and Ventricle
AORTIC Aorta
PULMONIC pertains to the Lungs
ARTERIAL Arteries
ARTERIOLE a small artery
VENOUS Veins
VENULE a small vein
PHLEBOTOMY clinically refers to the puncture of a vein with a needle for the withdrawal of blood
PHLEBITIS inflammation of a vein
CARDIOMYOPATHY a disease of heart muscle
ELECTROCARDIOGRAM a recording of electricity of the Heart; ECG
ECHOCARDIOGRAM a recording of echoes of the Heart
ANGIOGRAM a recording of vessels
INTRAVENOUS pertaining to within a vein
PERIVASCULAR around a vessel
BRADYCARDIA a condition of a slow Heart
TACHYCARDIA condition of a rapid Heart
SYSTOLIC clinically refers to the phase of the cardiac cycle when the myocardium is contracting
DIASTOLIC clinically refers to the phase of the cardiac cycle when the myocardium is relaxed
ASYSTOLE clinically refers to the absence of cardiac activity
STENOSIS a condition of narrowing
CARDIOMEGALY enlarged Heart
HYPERTROPHY excessive development
INTERATRIAL between Atria

ARRHYTHMIA a condition without rhythum

CARDIAC OUTPUT amount of blood that leaves the Heart (BPM)
STROKE VOLUME amount of blood ejected with each cardiac contraction
