Working In Construction with Ethics, Communication, and Values

| What are ethics? | Ethics are principals of conduct that determine which behaviors are right and wrong. |
| What are values? | Values have to do with what we believe to be right and wrong. |
| To be ethical, we must have...? | Have good values and act accordingly! |
| What is work ethic? | This means the quality of putting your best effort forward and striving to do the best you can in your job. |
| Do work ethics become habits and why? | Good work ethics do become habits and the best way to practice them is to consciously practice them. |
| Conscience, what is it in you? | The inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action. |
| Body language is expressed how? | Unwritten, unspoken message communicated by the way we hold our body or by the expressions on our face. Such as gestures, posture, and facial expressions to convey messages. |
| Moral Duty is seen as a? | MORAL OBLIGATION. A duty which one owes, and which he ought to perform, but which he is not legally bound to fulfill. |
| Body language, is it conscious or unconscious? | Body language may be used consciously or unconsciously. It may accompany a verbal message or serve as a substitute for speech. |
| Consciousness is? | Consciousness IS self-knowledge. |
| What are some functions of Non Verbal Communication? | To convey meaning by reinforcing, substituting for, or contradicting verbal communication. It is also used to influence others and regulate conversational flow. |
| Nonverbal communication is ? | The transmission of messages or signals through a nonverbal platform such as eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, posture, and the distance between two individuals. |
| A persons value is see as? | A person's principles or standards of behavior; one's judgment of what is important in life. |
| Moral obligation is? | An obligation arising out of considerations of right and wrong. It is an obligation arising from ethical motives, or a mere conscientious duty, |
| Ethical Dilemma is a situation that? | Ethical dilemmas, also known as a moral dilemmas, are situations in which there is a choice to be made between two options, neither of which resolves the situation in an ethically acceptable fashion. |
| Moral Dilemma is a situation in which? | A situation in which a difficult choice has to be made between two courses of action, either of which entails transgressing a moral principle. |
