account number the special number a bank gives to an account
currency money in bills and cash
deposit the act of putting money in an account
deposit slip a piece of paper used to record the amount of money put into an account
joint account a checking account for two or more people
less cash received the amount of money kept out when making a deposit
signature card a card you fill out and sign when you open an account
single account an account for one person
balance the amount of money in an account
canceled check a check the bank has marked paid to show you can NOT use that check again
checking account a banking plan that lets you pay your bills, daily spending money
minimum balance the lowest amount of money you can have in your account with out getting penalty (fee)
service charge a fee you pay the bank for taking care of your money and account
balance forward the balance from the page before in the register
check register an record of your transactions of you banking account
check stub the end of a check that you keep as a record
bank statement the banks record of your transactions
beginning balance the amount of money in your account at the beginning of the time period
closing date the date the bank statement is made out by the bank
ending balance the amount of money in your account at the end of the time period
outstanding check a check you have written that has not been cashed
