El compromiso de esa pareja ha sido muy largo. That couple´s engagement has been very long.
El matrimonio ha sido difícil para ellos. Marriage has been very difficult for them.
¡La boda ha sido fenomenal! The wedding has been amazing!
Ese anciano ha tenido una vida excepcional. That elderly man has had an exceptional life.
Esa anciana ha trabajado hasta los 90 años. That elderly lady has worked until 90 years old.
El novio ha decidido trabajar en California. The groom has decided to work in California.
-er and -ir ending regular verbs have a participle ending in - - - -er and -ir ending regular verbs have a participle ending in -ido
the participle for decidir is ... decidido
the participle for ser is . . . sido
the participle for tener is .... tenido
-ar ending regular verbs have a participle ending in - - - -ar ending regular verbs have a participle ending in -ido
the participle for trabajar is . . trabajado
the participle for volar is . . volado
El avión de papel ha volado mucho y lejos. The paper airplane has flown a lot and far.
El nacimiento de la hija ha ocupado mucho a la pareja. The daughter´s birth has occupied the couple a lot.
¡Ellos se han comprometido! They have gotten engaged!
Todavía no se han comprometido. They have not gotten engaged yet.

Esos dos se han llevado mal siempre. Those two have always gotten along poorly.

La jueza ha fallecido. The judge has died.
Ya él se ha graduado de la universidad pero quiere estudiar más. He has already graduated from the university but he wants to study more.
Irregular participles do not follow a pattern but all end in . . . irregular participles do not follow a pattern but they all end in "o"
Participles always en in "o" and DO NOT change to masculine /feminine or singular/plural when. . . Participles always end in "o" and do not change according to gender and number when used with a form of "have" - Ella ha sido -
the participle for decir is .... dicho
the participle for ver is ... visto
the participle for hacer is . . . hecho
the participle for volver is ... vuelto
¿Has vuelto a Honduras recientemente? Have you returned to Honduras recently?
Nosotros todavía no hemos hecho nada para el proyecto. We haven´t yet done anything for the project.
