Week 11 General Computer Apps terms
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| wrap text | format setting that adjusts the way text moves around or adjusts to objects on the page |
| sizing handle | small circle, square, or set of dots at the corner or on the side of a selected object that you drag to change the size of the object |
| grouping | assembling two or more objects into a single unit so they can be moved or formatted as one object |
| format painter | command found on the Home tab, Clipboard group that allows you to copy formats from one selection to another |
| banded | when shading has been applied to alternating rows or columns in a table, to help make it more readable |
| graphics | pictures, shapes, etc...that enhance a document by illustrating points, adding meaning, organizing information or adding visual appeal |
| fill | the command that allows you to add color inside a shape or graphic |
| alt text | command found in object-specific tool tabs that allows you to create descriptions of objects for screen readers |
| outline | border that goes around the outside of a shape or other graphic |
| tab stop | location where cursor moves to when Tab key is struck; there is a default or you can set your own stops |
