Associative Property | the property that states that the GROUPING of addends does not change the sum |
Communitive Property | the property that states the ORDER of addends does not change the sum |
Identity Property | the property that states that if you add ZERO to a number the number will stay the same |
parentheses | symbols that are used to group numbers |
pattern | a sequence of numbers, symbols, or figures that follow a rule. |
unknown | missing number or the number to be solved for |
mental math | ordering or grouping numbers so they are easier to solve in your head. |
