procedure phase 1 Children taken individually into a room and sat at a table to play with potato print some pictures stickers for 10 minutes whileaggressive model was showing aggression to a Tinkertoy set and a Bobo doll and the non-aggressive played with them the control
procedure phase 2 children were taken individually to anteroom and subjected to midl aggression in arousal. They were allowed to play with some toys but after two minutes the experimenter took the toys away saying there was the other children
procedure phase 3 then taken into a third room and they were observed through a one-way mirror for 20 minutes, recorded imitative aggression, partially imitative aggression, non-imitative physical and verbal aggression or non-aggressive behaviour
key findings children in aggressive condition showed significantly more imitation of physical and verbal aggression vice versa. children who with same sex model we’re more likely to follow them. male model had greater influence than female and boys more aggressive
conclusions Children will imitate aggressive and non-aggressive behaviours displayed by models even if a model is not present.children can learn behaviour through observation male adults have a great influence children are more likely to be influenced by the same sex
