Digital Footprint | It is the trail of data that is left behind by users on digital services. |
Cookies | It is a small text file that is stored on your computer when you visit some websites. A cookie is used to remember settings from your last visit to a website. |
GeoLocation | The identification of the geographic location of a device. |
MetaData | Structured information that describes, explains, locates, or otherwise makes it easer to use, or manage an information resource; data about data; describes resources and ways to find resources. |
Data | Data is values of qualitative or quantitative variables, belonging to a set of items. Variables are measurements or characteristics of an item. |
Spreadsheet | An arrangement of cells in columns and rows used to organize, analyze, calculate, and report information, usually in numerical form. |
Browser History | A list of websites and places visited previously by a user. |
Digital Literacy | A broad understanding of computer and information, along with the ability to use it well. |
Blog | A regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. |
Dossier | It is a loose bundle of documents. |
Derogatory | Its a term to describe certain type of coders doing illegal things. |
Social Networking | A means by which people use the Internet to communicate and share information among their immediate friends, and meet and connect with others through common interests, experiences, and friends. |
Viral | Something that is super trendy/popular on social media. |
Profile | An environment created specifically for a user. Usually consisting of information about said user. |
Privacy Settings | The way a account is setup to hide or store information. |
