Term | Definition |

genre | That is sorted into different of types of literature or written works. Example: Poems or an excerpt from a textbook |
objective | Goals that need to be done during a certain amount of time or more. Example: Part of class lesson |
prior knowledge | Memories from previous learning experiences on specific or different topics. |
criteria | Standards on testing yourself or other people to see if they meet specific requirements. |
annotation | Creating key details and recording the complex terms/concepts based on the context. |
misconception | It is the wrong understanding of certain details from different sources. Example: From books |
predictive reading | Thinking of what is going to be next in an author's work. |
close reading | A thorough reading from any given reading literature to acquire a fully deep acknowledgement of an entire text. |
familiarize | Acquaint yourself with remembering things that are important that is required. Example: Bring material for class |
context | The understanding of new words through how it is being used in the passage. |
syllabus | An important piece of paper that gives information to students about the educator, about the class, and its criteria. |
degree evaluation | A look through every college course that a student finishes is judged to see if they are ready to receive their rank. |
default | A frustration from oneself in their activity. |
developmental | The growth of oneself to get better at one or more things to have great future. |
pre-requisite | Doing things before getting to the main objective. |
accommodation | People getting extra help for something that they cannot do that regular people can do. |
disqualified | Being ineligible to apart of something for reasons. Example: Being excluded from something for bad behavior |
commencement | To start an objective that is for something important. |
certified | Acknowledged that you have the knowledge that you are qualified for what you want to be. |
transcript | Are written notes about what information that was talked through auditory during in person or on video. |
