Chapter 2) What does Deliberately mean? Done consciously and intentionally, to engage in long and careful consideration.
Chapter 2) How can water be contaminated? It can contain microorganisms like bacteria and parasites that get in the water from human or animal fecal matter.
Chapter 2) What is a microorganism? A microscopic organism, especially a bacterium, virus, or fungus.
Chapter 2) How would you get Jaundice from food? Due to contaminated food and water the water functioning of the liver is interrupted.
Chapter 2) What is Shigella SPP? A genus of bacteria that is Gram-negative, facultative anaerobic, non-spore-forming, nonmotile, rod-shaped and genetically closely related to E. coli.
Chapter 2) What is Enterohemorrhagic E. coli? A toxin that causes damage to the lining of the intestinal wall.
Chapter 2) What are fecal-oral routes? A particular route of transmission of disease wherein pathogens in fecal particles pass from one person to the mouth of another person.
Chapter 2) What is Hepatitis A? A highly contagious liver infection caused by the Hepatitis virus.
Chapter 2) What is Norovirus? Any of various single-stranded RNA viruses including the Norwalk virus and closely related viruses.
Chapter 2) What is Histamine? A chemical found in some of the body's cells-causes many of the symptoms of allergies, such as a runny nose or sneezing.
