Chapter 4) What is temperature abuse? Cooked food that is left out at room temperature for too long.
Chapter 4) How do you minimize the time that food spends in the temperature danger zone? If the temperature is above 90 degrees F, food should not be left out more that 1 hour.
Chapter 4) What is Bimetallic stemmed thermometer? It is a temperature measurement device. It converts the media's temperature into mechanical displacement using a bimetallic strip.
Chapter 4) What is a immersion probe? A tool that is designed to be used with a water wedge or in an immersion tank when the test part is partially or wholly immersed.
Chapter 4) What is a Penetration probe? A thermometer that is used to check the internal temperature of food.
Chapter 4) What is a air probe? A tool that is designed for air flow temperature measurements.
Chapter 4) What are reputable suppliers? A tool that should have a history of supplying acceptable product and value-added service, basically known for doing its job.
Chapter 4) What are Interchangeable probes? A probe that can be replaced by the user without process interruption.
Chapter 4) What can happen if you don't follow manufacturer's guidelines? Taking risks can lead to site infections, and equipment cleaning process failures.
Chapter 4) What is a surface probe? A tool that is used to measure the temperatures surfaces.
