Term | Definition |

Digital Footprint | he information about a particular person that exists on the internet as a result of their online activity. |
Cookies | text files with small pieces of data — like a username and password — that are used to identify your computer as you use a computer network. |
GeoLocation | the process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet. |
MetaData | a set of data that describes and gives information about other data. |
Data | facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis. |
Spreadsheet | an electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations. |
Browser History | a record of the sites you've visited in the past. The record stores the names of the sites and when you visited them. This includes download history, search history, cookies and cache. |
Digital Literacy | having the skills you need to live, learn, and work in a society where communication and access to information is increasingly through digital technologies like internet platforms, social media, and mobile devices. |
Blog | a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. |
Dossier | a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject. |
Derogatory | showing a critical or disrespectful attitude. |
Social Networking | the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself. |
Viral | relating to or involving an image, video, piece of information, etc., that is circulated rapidly and widely from one internet user to another. |
Profile | the sum content about a person on the Internet. |
Privacy Settings | the part of a social networking website, internet browser, piece of software, etc. that allows you to control who sees information |
Cache | a temporary storage area for instructions and data near a computer's central processing unit (CPU), usually implemented in high-speed memory. |
