What does Medullary and Cortical mean? How does it correspond to organs? | It is referring to anatomical positions. Medullary meaning An inner region or core of an organ. Cortical referring to the outer region or layer of an organ. |
What are sagittal Planes? What about a mid sagittal section? | Sagittal plane is a plane running from front to back and top to bottom. If the Plane is directly in the middle then it's called Mid sagittal plane. |
What are some examples of intrinsic control and extrinsic control? | Intrinsic control is regulation of homeostasis without the help of outside sources. Extrinsic does use things like endocrine systems and nervous systems to regulate. |
What is feed forward? | Feed forward is like when you anticipate food so your mouth begins to salivate. |
What is an atomic number? | Hydrogen has an atomic number of 1. So all hydrogen and only hydrogens have one proton in their nucleolus. |
What is mass number? What is an isotope? | It's the number of protons plus the number of neutrons. Its the change of number of neutrons which still having the same atomic number. Kind of like a trim level. |
What is a triglyceride? | It is one glycerol and 3 fatty acids. |
What are amino acids building blocks too? | Proteins. |
What are the 4 Main macromolecules? | Lipids, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Nucleic Acids. |
What are differences of Axial versus Appendicular skeletons? | Axial skeleton hold the skull, ribcage, spinal column, coccyx. |
