Regent A person appointed to rule a country if a monarch is too young or ill to do so.
Ronin Ronin is a term used to describe a samurai who no longer had a lord, either through his lord's downfall, or through the loss of his lord's favour.
Why did the Samurai ultimately disappear from Japan? The samurai disappeared due to traditional samurai skills and unarmed combat were no longer effective.
Kamikaze The divine winds that struck the Mongols on their way to invade Hakarta Bay.
What do the Japanese mean by 'divine intervention' The Japanese believed the typhoon and divine winds hat destroyed Mongol vessels/ships were sent by God.
