The verb "to" have" has two different forms in Spanish, depending on whether it is the auxiliary (as in "| have eaten" or me transive vero o possession (as in I nave a car) The auxiliary haber is conjugated like other verbs (but it is irregular, It cannot stand alone : it needs a past participle after it has ido - you have gone: hemos llegado - we have arrived
Tener que + an infinitive = I have to tengo que ir a casa - I have to go home
I have a car Tengo un coche
You have eaten Has comido
You have gone to the cinema Habeis ido al cine
We are hungry Tenemos hambre
You have gone with me Has ido conmigo
They have phoned Han telefoneado
