Math Compare and Order Rational Numbers

numerator | the top number of a fraction |
denominator | the bottom number of a fraction |

improper fraction | a number consisting of a whole number and a proper fraction |
mixed number | a fraction in which the numerator is less or of lower degree than the denominator |
proper fraction | a fraction in which the numerator is less or of lower degree than the denominator |
repeating decimal | a decimal that has a pattern that repeats |
subset of numbers | a collection of numbers inside a collection of numbers |
set of numbers | a collection of numbers |
Venn diagram | a visual representation of sets and subsets of numbers |
integers | he set of counting (natural) numbers, their opposites, and zero |
counting numbers | the set of positive numbers that begins at one and increases by increments of one each time |
order numbers | to arrange a set of numbers based on their numerical value |

place value | the value of a digit as determined by its location |
