repeating decimal | a decimal in which one or more digits repeat infinitely |
integers | all whole numbers (both positive and negative) and zero |
irrational number | non-repeating, non-terminating decimals, non-perfect squares, pi |
natural numbers | the set of numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, ... also called counting numbers |
real numbers | the set of all rational and irrational numbers |
non-perfect squares | a irrational number that cannot be expressed as the product of two equal rational numbers |
non-terminating decimal | decimal that continues without an end |
whole numbers | natural numbers (counting numbers) and zero; 1, 2, 3... |
terminating decimal | a decimal number that ends or terminates |
rational numbers | any number that can be expressed as a fraction |
