Fossil | Is physical evidence from the geologic age that has been preserved in the earth's crust. |
Artifact | The word is used most often in reference to archaeology, the scientific study of remnants from the past. |
Culture | Refers to the shared characteristics of a group of people, an include customs, arts, social institutions, food, and beliefs. |
Civilization | Is a advanced form of culture. |
Homo Sapiens | Is the scientific name for humans. |
Evolution | Is the foundation of modern biology. |
Hominin | Is a member of the zoological family Hominidae. |
Bering Land Bridge | For hundreds of thousands of years during the Pleistocene Epoch, Asia and North America were sometimes connected by a land bridge. |
Ice Age | Is a period of geological history. Throughout Earth’s history these times have occurred many times, some lasting for several million years. During these times, huge glaciers, possibly a mile thick or more, covered large portions of Earth’s surface. |
Neanderthal | The early human and was smart. |
Hunter-gatherer | Obtain food by hunting, fishing, and foraging. |
Domesticate | Is to tame animals and plants. |
Agriculture | Farming which means, "the cultivation or production of plants and animals for human use." |
