Yiddish a language written in Hebrew letters and spoken mainly by Jews in eastern and central Europe and by Jewish emigrants from these regions and their descendants.
Synagogues a place for Jewish worship often used for religious instruction
Levites a descendant of Levi who is appointed to assist the priests in the temple or tabernacle
