Microbiology study of microorganisms
Microorganisms a microscopic organism, especially a bacterium, virus, or fungus.
Zoonosis disease passed form animals to humans
Viral class of disease caused by particles that are contagious and spread through the environment
Bacterial class of disease spread through single-celled organism called germs and are located in all areas of animal's environment
Fungal/Fungus class of disease spread by simple-celled organism or spores that grow on the external body and other areas of the environment mostly in most and humid conditions.
Protozoan class of disease; the simplest forms of life caused by single-celled organism that are know as parasites that may live inside or outside the body
Rickettsial class of disease spread by biting insects, such as fleas and ticks
Vector when an ectoparasite such as a flea, mosquito, or tick transmits a pathogen.
Parasite an organism that lives in or on an organism of another species host and benefits by deriving nutrients at the other's expense
Host the animal that is infected by a parasite and that the parasite feeds off of
Definitive host an organism which supports the adult or sexually reproductive form of a parasite
Enteric relating to or occurring in the intestines
Cutaneous relating to or affecting the skin
Aerosol a suspension of tiny particles or droplets in the air, such as dusts, mists, or fumes.
Wound an injury to living tissue caused by a cut, blow, or other impact, typically one in which the skin is cut or broken
Rabies fatal but preventable viral disease
Cutaneous larval migrans hookworm infection in humans caused by penetrating the skin
Visceral larva migrans an infection caused by parasitic roundworms passed from animals to humans
Giardia tiny parasite that causes the diarrhea disease giardiasis
Cat Scratch Fever infection of the lymph notes following a scratch or bite from a cat
