Coordinate Plane/Quadrants
| Term | Definition |

| Positive Number | A number greater/larger than zero. |
| Negative Number | A number less/smaller than zero. |
| Origin | Where the X axis and Y axis intersect/meet. The ordered pair ( 0, 0 ) |
| Ordered Pair | Two numbers written in a certain order. which can be used to show the position of a point on a coordinate plane, where the "x" (horizontal) value is first, and the "y" (vertical) is second |
| Coordinate Plane | A tool used for graphing points, lines, and other objects. It functions like a map that follows directions from one point to another. |
| Quadrants | The coordinate plane is divided into four equal parts by the intersection of the x-axis and the y-axis |
| "X" Coordinate | The first number in the ordered pair. |
| "Y" Coordinate | The second number in the ordered pair. |
| Absolute Value | The distance of a number from zero. |
| Point | A specific location on a coordinate plane that is named by its ordered pair of the form of (x, y). |

| Quadrant II (2) | X=Negative Y=Positive |
